Ardingly

Ardingly

Ardingly is a beautiful village located in the centre of Mid Sussex and is best known for its Royal Agricultural society showground and the popular South of England Agricultural Show.

The village is also home to Wakehurst Place which is owned by the National Trust but used and managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and comprises a late 16th-century mansion, a mainly 20th-century garden and, in a modern building, Kew's Millennium Seed Bank.

This small village hosts a limited range of shops and restaurants including a bakery and two pubs.

Located within the village are excellent schools with Ardingly College siting proudly to the south. The college has been educating students since the mid 19th century.

The Reservoir, created in 1978, is a popular place for water sports enthusiasts, anglers or anyone looking for a great place to walk with bridleways surrounding the water.

To the south of the village lies the town of Haywards Heath which has a mainline train station and a larger mix of shops and restaurants.
